The National Undersecretariat of Electric Energy has announced the launch of a National and International Public Tender for the sale of shares in CITELEC (Compañía Inversora en Transmisión Eléctrica).

CITELEC is the parent company of Transener, Argentina’s main electric power transmission company. Through its network, Transener transports approximately 86% of the country’s electrical energy.

The purpose of the tender is the transfer of the shareholding held by Energía Argentina, which represents 50% of the total share capital of CITELEC.

This call is part of the sector’s management strategy and the transformation of Argentina’s energy configuration.
