Role of the Cultural Section

Cultural Section

The role of the Cultural Section of this Embassy is to share our culture with the people of New Zealand by organising and promoting events within the community. The aim of these events is to attract those that wish to learn more about Argentina but also attract the growing number of Argentines in the country so that they can enjoy a bit of their own culture whilst away from home.

In the past few years there has been a significant rise in interest towards the Latin American Culture and in particular Argentina. Film, dance and music festivals celebrating our culture are now fixed events on the cultural calendars in cities around this country and this Embassy continues to work and support those in the community to ensure that these events continue as such as well as looking for new ways to promote Argentina.

The Cultural Section promotes, not only those events in which it is involved directly, but also those events organised by other groups in which Argentine culture has its place. If there is an event that you would like to promote on our website, or to be included in our weekly newsletter that is sent out to the Argentine Community living in New Zealand and also those interested in Argentina, please send an email with the information to info_enzel@mrecic.gov.ar . The information included in these newsletters or on the website is at the discretion of this Embassy.
