On April 20, 2016 Ambassador Fausto Mariano López Crozet presented his credentials and was accredited as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to New Zealand.

The presentation of credentials ceremony was hosted by the Governor General of New Zealand, the Right Hon. Sir Jerry Mateparae, at his official residence, and included the traditional Maori greeting in the gardens of the residence, after which the Ambassador was received by the Guard of Honour, before inspecting it.
